Star Wars Celebration Chicago

Chicago's McCormick Place Convention Center is preparing for tens of thousands of Star Wars fans, cast members and vendors.

Unlike annual conventions locked into a home city, Celebration moves from city to city (sometimes outside the US). The last gathering took place in Orlando in 2017 with a celebration 40 years of everyone's favorite serial space opera. Guests included creator George Lucas, original and current cast members plus a special appearance and performance from John Williams with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.

This year, Star Wars celebrates the ninth and final(?) installment of the Skywalker story.

Stars of the still untitled Episode IX are expected to attend with stars of past films and animated projects (including video games) as well as upcoming TV projects.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have a scheduled panel planned to discuss their new series The Mandalorian.

Plus, Disney theme park fans will get a special presentation about Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.

If you can't make it to Chicago April 11-15, I'll have you covered with interviews, photos and more!
