Pop superstar Taylor Swift reportedly made a surprise trip to visit Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce amid his uncharacteristic slump to start the 2024 NFL season, according to the Daily Mail.
Swift reportedly rushed from New York to Kansas City the morning after the Chiefs' September 22 Sunday Night Football game against the Atlanta Falcons which, despite Kansas City winning, showed a visibly frustrated Kelce on the sideline midway through a four-reception, 30-yard performance. The three-time Super Bowl champion was limited to just eight receptions for 69 yards through his first three games before recording seven receptions for 89 yards in last Sunday's (September 29) win against the Los Angeles Chargers, which included breaking the Chiefs' franchise record for most career receptions, surpassing Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez.
Swift, who's attended the majority of the Chiefs' games that haven't conflicted with her touring schedule since she started dating Kelce last year, missed the team's last two road games in Atlanta and Los Angeles, as she's reportedly been busy preparing for the relaunch of her Eras Tour, which is set to continue in Miami on October 18, sources with knowledge of the situation told Page Six. Additionally, there are reportedly "security concerns" for Swift, one of music's biggest stars, to attend the Chiefs' road games.
“She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance,” an insider said.
The undefeated Chiefs will host the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday (October 7) night.
