Demarest Named to All-American Team

ROLLA, Mo. –After one of the most impressive seasons in Columbus State University softball history, senior pitcher Darby Demarest was an honorable mention selection to the Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association's All-America softball team.
Demarest started nearly half of CSU's games inside the circle this season posting an 18-6 record. The senior tossed two no-hitters while throwing 16 complete games and five shutouts.
The Douglasville native also left her mark on the program setting the record for most strikeouts in a career with 648. In 2019, she struck out at least 10 batters in a game 11 times while finishing sixth in the nation with 247 strikeouts.
To close out her career, Demarest was a two-time All-PBC selection and appeared on three PBC All-Academic teams.
