AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State University women's cross country runner Alli Hay was recognized Tuesday as the Peach Belt Conference Women's Runner of the Week after her performance at the 16th annual Cougar Classic this past weekend.

The junior took first at CSU's lone home meet of the season finishing the 5k in 18:51 to repeat as the individual medalist. She finished the course 26 seconds faster than her nearest competitor.

Hay's 5k time was the fastest in the PBC over the opening weekend. It is the third time that she has won the award in her career as she earned the honor twice last season.

After a week off, the Lady Cougars head to Wingate, N.C. to compete in the Bulldog Stampede on Sept. 21.
