Lady Cougars Return to the Course

COLUMBUS - After a few weeks off, the Columbus State University women's golf team will return to the course on Monday competing in the sixth annual LeeAnn Noble Memorial Golf Tournament.

The 36-hole tournament is being hosted by North Georgia at the Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Ga.

CSU will be one of 16 teams competing for the title along with No. 14 Lee.

Following a solid performance at the Battle at Old South on Sept. 21 and Sept. 22, Columbus State will feature the same lineup in Dahlonega this week. Selina Budde, Victoria Libaak, Anna Meleshkina, Monica Ruiz Pavon, and Ana Thorne will all make their second starts of the season.

The Lady Cougars finished in a tie for sixth place in their only action this year at the Battle at Old South. CSU closed out the tournament strong jumping three spots on the leaderboard over round two. Budde (T-30th), Libaak (T-30th), Meleshkina (T-24th), and Thorne (T-24th) all finished inside the top-30.

Last season, Columbus State finished fourth at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial. Libaak shot a one-under 71 over the final round to earn an eighth place finish.
