Women's Soccer Adds Six

COLUMBUS - Columbus State University women's soccer coach Jay Entlich announced the Lady Cougar early recruiting class.

The six newest Lady Cougars will join the club in the fall of 2020.

"We are so thrilled to have these young ladies join us here at Columbus State," commented Entlich. "I would like to thank my staff for their hard work and dedication to the program throughout the recruiting process."

Vanessa Aviles - Columbus High School - Columbus, Ga.

A local product out of Columbus High, Aviles is a two-time All-Bi City first team selection for the Blue Devils. The midfielder has helped the team to two region titles as well as a state semifinal appearance earlier in the spring.

With her club team, Aviles has led the team in assists in every year since 2016. She was also on the Georgia Olympic Development Program (ODP) regional pool roster in 2018 and 2019.

Anna Grady - Flowery Branch High School - Flowery Branch, Ga.

Grady is a standout player for Flowery Branch High School leading the team to the 2019 state championship match. In 2019, the two-time 5A first team performer was elected team captain and won the Lady Falcon Award.

At the club level, Grady plays for AFU ECNL leading the team to the State Cup in 2016. Also, she was an ODP state pool regional champion in 2017 and 2018.

Hannah Holley - Peachtree Ridge High School - Duluth, Ga.

Another Georgia product, Holley is a four-year varsity player at Peachtree Ridge High School. In her career, she has 25 career goals on her way to being named the 2018 team offensive MVP.

In the classroom, Holley in a three-time All-Scholar athlete honoree.

Hailey McGee - Lone Star High School - Little Elm, Texas

McGee currently plays for Lone Star High School and her club team, Dallas Texans DPL. In her freshman season, she was a starter for Lone Star and earned the Newcomer of the Year award.

Also, McGee was selected to the All-District team for the Rangers.

Juliana Rivera - Darlington School - Gainesville, Ga.

A forward from Gainesville, Ga., Rivera will head to Columbus for the 2020 season. The Darlington School product has plenty of experience taking part in numerous Disney showcases and competitions. Prior to playing at Darlington, Rivera earned a varsity letter as a freshman at North Paulding High School.

Samantha Romaine - Mountain View High School - Buford, Ga.

Romaine has been a three-year starter for Mountain View High School leading the team to the state tournament in 2019. She was a second team 7A All-Region selection in 2018 as well as being named an All-Scholar athlete.

At the club level, Romaine plays for GSA 01/02 ECNL Composite.

Columbus State will announce additional members of the 2020 class at a later date.
