How Petty Are You? Romania May Have You Beat

Pettiness comes natural to some, especially this Romanian man.

He cut the ribbon earlier this week on the "World's Shortest Highway," making the highway a whopping one yard long.

The asphalt strip was built as a protest against Romania's poor road system.

It has lane markers and its own speed limit sign.

The man held the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which attracted hundreds of people to the site in Northern Romania.

The pettiness continues... Wrecked cars with coffins inside them were parked next to the road, which symbolizes the consequences of poor maintenance and the lack of expressways.

Statistics released by the European Commission showed it had the highest incidence of road deaths in the EU in 2017.
