Meteor Exploded Over Earth in 2018 And We Missed It

A huge meteor exploded over the Earth just before Christmas in 2018, and apparently we all missed it.

NASA says the giant space rock exploded 16 miles above the Earth's surface.

The "fireball," as it's called, had an impact energy of 173 kilotons.

That's the second most powerful to enter the Earth's atmosphere in 30 years.

And if you didn't hear about it, don't sweat it... Scientists didn't know about it until recently.

The explosion happened over the Bering Sea, which is located in an extremely remote part of the world.
