Harlem Wizards to Visit the Lumpkin Center
By CSU Sports Information
COLUMBUS - In conjunction with the Mathews Elementary School PTA, Columbus State University will be hosting the Harlem Wizards at the Lumpkin Center tonight.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with the Lumpkin Center's doors opening at 5 p.m.
The Harlem Wizards were founded in 1962 by New York sports promoter Howie Davis. The Wizards are a basketball show entity delivering wildly successful fundraiser events for schools and nonprofits, playing in over 450 communities across the USA last season alone, while raising more than three million for schools and non-profits.
Known for their high-flying entertainment, the Wizards also spontaneously involve the crowd to make it a more intimate and community setting.
The Wizards roster is full of amazing hoop talent. The Wizards have three units that crisscross the USA, with Eric "Broadway" Jones, and Dwayne "Swoop" Simpson, both former Globetrotter showmen, as well as the dynamic duo of David "DP" Paul and "King Arthur" Lewis a former Academic All-American at Bowie State University.
